Where you'll be working
Based at Westmead Dental Laboratory, part of the Westmead Centre for Oral Health, you'll join Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD), one of Australia's largest and most diverse health services.
The Centre is a state-wide referral and teaching facility, delivering general, specialist and emergency dental services while supporting the University of Sydney's Faculty of Dentistry.

What you'll be doing
In this hands-on technical role, you will produce high-quality acrylic dental appliances that directly support clinical care and patient outcomes.
* Create, repair and reline acrylic dental appliances to a high standard
* Complete allocated laboratory work efficiently while managing competing priorities
* Provide technical advice and collaborate closely with clinicians
* Maintain strict infection control and WHS standards
* Participate in professional development and contribute to a positive team culture
* This role includes participation in a rostered later shift to support back-up laboratory requirements when required.

Essential Requirements:
Qualification: Completion of the Diploma of Dental Technology (TAFE NSW) or equivalent course in Dental Technology.
Selection Criteria:
1. Experience as qualified Dental Technician in all aspects of Acrylic work.
2. Demonstrated sound technical skills.
3. Good oral and written communication skills and an ability to liaise effectively with a range of individuals.
4. Demonstrated ability to work within a team and independently.
5. Commitment to continuing education.
6. Demonstrated ability to work to a deadline while providing a high standard of Acrylic work with daily allocations.
