The ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal (ACAT) is a dynamic, fast-paced environment delivering accessible justice to the ACT community. Our registry teams are the backbone of the Tribunal, providing exceptional support to members and ensuring smooth, efficient operations. We are seeking a Team Leader to oversee our Members, Executive and Tribunal Support team – a critical role at the heart of ACAT's leadership and decision-making processes. In This Role, You Will
Lead and mentor a small team, ensuring high-quality executive support for senior decision-makers.
Provide strategic executive support to the ACAT Executive, including coordination of complex tribunal rostering and ensuring the timely management of sensitive matters.
Drive operational excellence by managing priorities, workflows, and resources in a fast-moving environment.
Champion continuous improvement and foster a culture of collaboration and resilience.
You will lead a team of proactive and resilient people who are passionate about supporting our members and the wider tribunal. Eligibility / Other Requirements
Computer literacy skills are relevant to this role as you will use several computer software programs to undertake the tasks of this role.
To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa.
If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a National Criminal History check.
Desirable
Relevant experience and/or qualifications in executive support, law, legal or a justice environment.
Notes
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Interviews for this position are expected to be held during the week commencing 15 December ****.
