Corporate knowledge Contracts, Property leases 12 months/Hybrid Corporate knowledge Contracts, Property leases 12 months/Hybrid Our client has an opportunity for a Junior Lawyer to partner closely with their internal business areas to provide accurate, high quality and timely advice on a range of legal matters.
You will provide skills in the areas of research and interpretation of legislation, provision of oral and written legal advice to internal stakeholders.
This will include collation and management of documents for subpoenas and discovery in litigation matters, involvement in litigation matters, review and draft of contacts, memorandums of understanding, policies, business rules and procedures.
As well you will be responsible for provision of witness support to staff, preparation of Board, Committee and Executive Papers, participation in, and contribution to minimising legal risks through mitigation strategies and actions.
Managing subpoena response Suitable candidates will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Law, admitted to the legal profession as an Australian Lawyer and hold a current Victorian Practicing Certificate.
You will have high level interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with relevant internal and external stakeholders at all levels with the ability to work effectively within tight timeframes and manage a number of different matters simultaneously.
You will have highly developed written and verbal communication skills with strong computer literacy skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
You will also have experience in carrying out legal research and analysis.
