**The Company**:
Our client is a highly established, retail chain with multiple stores located across Australia and Asia. With over 50 years of experience within the hospitality space, they are known for their wide variety of food services and offerings they provide their customers.
**The Role**:
Based in Brisbane, our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join the team ASAP. This is a fast paced role where you will be managing the weekly payroll function end to end. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Processing of weekly payroll for 10,000+ permanent and casual staff.
- Payroll tax, workers' compensation, award interpretation, FBT, PAYG and superannuation management
- Validating data entry and payroll imports
- Payroll tax and superannuation reconciliation
- General ledger journals and payroll reporting
- Variance analysis on payroll reports.
- Preparing month end reports, reconciling payroll deductions.
- Calculate, process and update of staff leave entitlements and summaries
- Answering all payroll related queries and requests
**About You**:
- Previous payroll experience managing a high-volume casual and permanant staff pool.
- Experience with interpreting various Employment Awards
- Have managed a fast paced payroll cycle end to end
- Previous experience working on Preceda (ideal)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills
