About the Business Development Representative Role


Business Development Representative

This is a highly demanding role that requires a strong sales background and excellent communication skills to successfully manage the sales process for new access equipment and hand over process on unit deliveries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying customer base, increasing service contracts in a profitable manner, building positive work relationships with targeted customers, recording all customer contact, managing the handover process, maintaining call cycle for visiting and contacting clients, assisting with the development and delivery of marketing campaigns into the market.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage sales activities and account management of the nominated region.
* Evaluate customer needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
* Negotiate and close sales deals.
* Develop and maintain a customer call cycle including the management of the customer order backlog and weekly sales updates.
* Provide accurate on-time reporting on forecasts and sales activity.
* Promote and generate leads and sales conversions in all aspects of the business.
* Network with customers establishing and evaluating any existing and/or forecasted needs.
* Attend customer and industry events representing the company.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a business-to-business sales role.
* Effective communication both written and verbal.
* Ability to build rapport and strong relationships across all levels of business.
* Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail.
* Strong time-management and prioritization skills, able to multi-task and prioritize competing requirements and meet deadlines.
* Ability to travel domestically and internationally when required.
* Experience and general proficiency with IT hardware and software applications.
