We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to join a large-scale enterprise environment in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in VMware virtualization, Commvault backup solutions, NetApp storage, Global Secure Access (GSA), and High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments utilizing Cisco HyperFlex. The role involves managing, optimizing, and supporting critical infrastructure platforms while ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, deploy, administer, and support enterprise infrastructure platforms across data center and cloud environments.
* Manage and maintain VMware virtualization platforms, including cluster administration, performance tuning, capacity planning, and lifecycle management.
* Administer and optimize Commvault backup, recovery, retention, and disaster recovery solutions.
* Manage NetApp storage environments, including provisioning, replication, snapshots, storage optimization, and performance monitoring.
* Support and maintain Global Secure Access (GSA) solutions, ensuring secure connectivity and compliance with organizational security standards.
* Administer and support High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments based on Cisco HyperFlex infrastructure.
* Perform infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution.
* Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
* Collaborate with security, networking, cloud, and application teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
* Develop automation scripts and operational procedures to improve infrastructure efficiency.
* Ensure infrastructure adheres to security, governance, backup, and compliance requirements.
* Participate in major incident management, problem management, and change management activities.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.

* 6+ years of hands-on experience administering VMware environments.

* Administration and support of Commvault environments.

* Strong experience with NetApp storage administration.
* Storage provisioning and capacity management.
* Snapshot, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
* Performance monitoring and optimization.
Global Secure Access (GSA)
* Experience implementing and supporting secure remote access solutions.
* Understanding of Zero Trust architecture principles.
* Identity and access management integration.
* Network security and secure connectivity best practices.
High-Performance Computing (HPC)
* Experience supporting enterprise HPC environments.
* Hands-on experience with Cisco HyperFlex infrastructure.
* Compute, storage, and virtualization optimization.
* Capacity planning and performance tuning for HPC workloads.
Preferred Skills
* Microsoft Azure and AWS Cloud exposure.
* Infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
