The Company
This opportunity is with a global IT services organisation, delivering end-to-end infrastructure and workplace technology solutions for a large enterprise client. The organisation operates across multiple regions with a globally distributed delivery team and a strong footprint in managed services and enterprise IT support.
You'll be part of a collaborative, high-performing team working in a secure and structured environment, supporting critical business operations.
The Role
As a Desktop Engineer, you will be the primary point of contact for end-user support, ensuring reliable delivery of IT services across desktops, devices, and infrastructure in a secure environment.
You'll operate in a fast-paced service environment, supporting users across multiple sites and collaborating with global IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide desktop and end-user support across hardware, software, and devices
* Install, configure, and maintain IT systems including desktops, laptops, and peripherals
* Manage incidents and service requests via ticketing systems (ServiceNow or similar)
* Deploy and upgrade IT infrastructure, including system updates and configuration changes
* Troubleshoot technical issues and escalat where required
* Support onboarding processes, including user setup and IT orientation
* Ensure compliance with security policies and standards
* Work closely with service coordinators and global IT teams to manage workloads
* Participate in ongoing projects and continuous service improvement initiatives
What You Bring to the TableMust-Have
* Active NV1 Security Clearance + Australian Citizenship
* Strong experience in desktop / end-user computing (EUC) support
* Experience with ticket management systems (ServiceNow preferred)
* Proven troubleshooting skills across Windows environments (Windows 10+)
* Knowledge of PC hardware, peripherals, and IT infrastructure
* Experience working in secure, defence, or government environments
Nice to Have
* Exposure to networking (LAN, fibre, Ethernet)
* Experience supporting enterprise-scale or high-volume environments
* Involvement in IT deployments, upgrades, or infrastructure projects
