We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Application Technician to join our team. As an Application Technician, you will provide courteous and prompt operational support relating to assigned application systems, ensuring minimal customer impact and swift resolution of issues.About the RoleIn this opportunity as an Application Technician, you will:Provides skilled technical support, with minimal supervision, using proactive problem management, in order to deliver high service levels as well as follow through on root cause analysis and resolution of problemsProvides solutions in developing, configuring, or supporting client systems, monitoring and/or troubleshooting in order to fix a problem and communicate the changes effectively while confirming expectations with the customerProvides technical guidance to less experienced analysts, including, but not limited to, editing, reviewing and approving fellow team member’s SQL modificationsProvides a sound level of technical and subject matter expertise in one or more technologies and serves as a point of escalation for technical issues related to specialtyAssists in the reduction of the number of incidents as well as decreasing resolution times by providing high-level trouble shooting on technical issues while still respond to client’s basic system questions and how-to inquiriesAssists with production of technical documentation for assigned tasks and projectsWorks as part of an international team to analyze data that supports global trade operations of clientsWorks closely with various operational, project, development and product teams to fully support environments and maintain serviceWorks on small complex projects/issues that require a singular area of expertiseEffectively responds to and resolves client sensitive case escalationsMinimizes service disruption, ensures adherence to Service Level AgreementsCommunicates with clients to provide excellent customer serviceProvides input to records, quality systems and management reports as requiredFollows standard and influences continuous improvement of standardsOther duties as assigned Technical /Professional Skills & CompetenciesAbout YouYou’re a fit for the role of Application Technician if you have the following required qualifications:3-5 years of experience in a technical environment with a focus on customer serviceBachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or MathStrong understanding of technical concepts, including: Web-based software platforms, SQL, Microsoft suiteModerate to advanced technical experience, including familiarity with development code and ability to recognize design problemsStrong mentorship and training skills, with the ability to serve as an escalation point for team membersSuperior analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skillsExceptional attitude towards customer service and excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environment, with awareness of programming concepts, database usage, and internet-based applicationsRelevant technical certifications preferred but not required#LI-SC1What’s in it For You?Hybrid Work Model: We’ve adopted a flexible hybrid working environment (2-3 days a week in the office depending on the role) for our office-based roles while delivering a seamless experience that is digitally and physically connected.Flexibility & Work-Life Balance: Flex My Way is a set of supportive workplace policies designed to help manage personal and professional responsibilities, whether caring for family, giving back to the community, or finding time to refresh and reset.
