Field Service Technician

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to support, maintain, and service our gaming machines and related products across customer venues. This role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing repairs, completing installations, and delivering a high level of on-site customer service. You will act as the primary technical contact for customers and ensure all service activities are accurately recorded.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installations, conversions, upgrades, maintenance, and repairs of gaming machines
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical faults
- Attend customer sites to resolve technical issues and provide troubleshooting
- Record service activities and maintain accurate documentation
- Provide operator and technical training to venue staff
- Escalate unresolved issues to ensure timely resolution
- Manage daily work schedules effectively to meet customer needs
- Process and test returned parts, including fault-finding and repair verification
- Identify opportunities to improve service processes and efficiency
- Travel within NSW and occasionally interstate or internationally
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role
- Solid electro‑mechanical troubleshooting and fault‑finding skills
- Basic understanding of computer systems, hardware, and networking
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with strong organization and time‑management abilities
- Analytical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience working with EGMs, MTGMs, or similar technical equipment
- Understanding of gaming industry regulations and operating procedures
- Technical certification in electrical, mechanical, or related field (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to obtain and maintain required gaming technical licenses
