About the role
You will be part of the Aboriginal Oral Health team, working to implement the Aboriginal Oral Health Program, which aims to improve the oral health of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people by increasing oral health knowledge in the community and working to improve access to dental services.
As part of the Aboriginal Oral Health team, you will:
4. Lead consultations through engaging with Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander community, staff, consumers and other stakeholders.
5. Prepare progress reports and project plans for projects as part of the SA Dental Aboriginal Oral Health Program.
6. Work with a range of stakeholders both internal and external to SA Dental.
7. Partner with Aboriginal community and health services to raise awareness of oral health and SA Dental.
8. Work with other SA Dental Project teams to further Health Promotion initiatives in line with Health Promotion principles and SA Dental strategic directions.
9. Understand Aboriginal culture, values, and beliefs and how these affect health and well-being.
10. Knowledge of the Social Determinants of Aboriginal health.
Applicants must be willing to travel across the state and can lift and carry, within safe limits, items weighing up to 15kg.
