POSITION SUMMARY
Performs eye examinations and vision tests to determine the presence of visual, ocular and other abnormalities, and prescribes lenses, other optical aids or therapy.
Job Duties/Essential Functions
* Demonstrate ability in providing outstanding patient care
* Coach, train and mentor other Optical department employees
* Exercise discretion and confidentiality with all patient information
* Follow proper Optical Centre, general safety and security procedures and standards
* Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary
* Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees and suppliers.
Qualifications (Costco-specific or industry specific skills that candidates should possess):
* Have successfully completed appropriate tertiary studies in Optometry;
* Be registered and licenced with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency / Optometry Board of Australia;
* Work with latest equipment (OCT / Retinal Camera and visual fields)
* Effective communication, basic math skills, interpersonal skills and;
* Appropriate knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
