Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled baker to join our team on the picturesque Great Ocean Road. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a strong work ethic, with a focus on delivering high-quality products.
The successful applicant will be responsible for producing a range of bread and pastry products, utilizing their trade skills and bakery experience. This will involve setting up and monitoring production to maximize quality and minimize waste, ensuring that production targets are met while adhering to HACCP quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Produce a variety of bread and pastry products using trade skills and bakery experience.
2. Set up and monitor production to ensure quality and efficiency.
3. Meet production targets while maintaining HACCP quality and safety standards.
4. Provide leadership in continuous improvement and team effectiveness.
5. Operate and manage the pastry section of the kitchen to ensure a smooth working environment.
6. Mix, knead, rest, roll, cut, and shape dough for breads and pastry products.
7. Prepare ingredients and handle baking and other kitchen equipment.
8. Coordinate the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling of batches of bread, rolls, and pastry products.
9. Monitor the stock of baking ingredients and order new supplies when needed.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a Certificate III in Baking or related trade qualification, and have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a baker or similar position.
