About the MR Tar Truck Driver Position
The successful candidate will play a vital role in the ongoing maintenance of urban bitumen patching. This involves operating Council's Flow Con, a tar patching unit, in a safe and efficient manner.
Key duties include:
* Maintaining the vehicle with daily checks, safety inspections, oil and coolant checks, securing loads and equipment.
* Loading loose materials, preparing for transportation, and dispatching coldmix/hotmix material.
* Operating the Flow Con with the tar patching unit, adhering to manufacturer specifications and recommendations.
* Setting up traffic procedures by implementing correct traffic control on worksites in accordance with traffic control plans.
* Performing other tasks as directed by the supervisor.
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet specific criteria:
* Possess a valid MR Truck Licence.
* Hold a WHS General Induction for Construction Certificate (White Card).
* Demonstrate Traffic Control Stop/Slow (Blue Card) skills.
* Show willingness to undertake additional training.
* Exhibit demonstrated experience in truck driving.
* Commit to Work Health and Safety.
* Demonstrate commitment to the principles of honesty and integrity.
An ideal candidate would have experience in operating bitumen patching units, traffic control, and selecting/modifying traffic control plans.
