Role Description
We're looking for a ColdFusion Front-End Software Engineer to join our growing team in Brisbane. This full-time, hybrid role focuses on supporting and enhancing existing ColdFusion front-end code, while contributing to the progressive modernisation of the platform to Angular.
This is an ideal role for a ColdFusion developer who enjoys working with established systems and wants to be part of a structured transition to modern front-end technologies.
What You'll do
As a ColdFusion Software Engineer at Kudos, you will:
* Support, maintain, and enhance existing ColdFusion-based front-end applications
* Analyse legacy ColdFusion modules to identify refactoring and migration opportunities
* Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and services
* Contribute to the progressive migration of UI components from ColdFusion to Angular
* Ensure UI stability, performance, and usability throughout the modernisation process
* Participate in code reviews, testing, and issue resolution
You'll work closely with the Chief Technology Officer, Product Manager, and other developers in an agile environment, contributing directly to customer-facing improvements used by global travel brands.
Qualifications
Required:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in ColdFusion software development, particularly front-end development
* Strong commercial experience with ColdFusion (CFML), including working with CFCs, application structure, and maintaining legacy ColdFusion front-end applications.
* Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
* Experience integrating front-end code with backend APIs
* Experience using Git or similar version control systems
* Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment
* Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application
Preferred:
* Experience with Angular or similar modern JavaScript frameworks
* Exposure to front-end modernisation or migration projects
* Understanding of Agile development methodologies
