* Can be based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney

We're excited at Kaplan Business School to be recruiting for a part-time Academic Head for our Enterprise Practice & Accounting discipline which was recently expanded to also include work-integrated learning, law, governance and foundation studies.

Reporting to the discipline's Academic Director and working alongside three Academic Heads, this is generally an administrative position without direct reports but with operational duties and national involvement with the recruitment and scheduling of industry-astute faculty, the forward-thinking coordination of subjects, the incisive review and enhancement of curriculum, and the monitoring of student success metrics with interventions promptly activated.

Our ideal candidate is an early career academic whose readiness for this managerial opportunity can be demonstrated by their well-known advocacy of student centricity, especially in the context of international education. They are especially drawn to the distinctiveness of reputable non-university providers of higher education due to a mutual prioritisation of quality teaching, student support and graduate employability.

Responsibilities

* Maintain the relevance and currency of the discipline's curriculum
* Coach and engage a faculty that exceeds 100 educators across six campuses
* Prioritise student-centredness across all facets of teaching and learning
* Proactively collaborate on interdisciplinary and cross-functional initiatives
* Exceed the requirements of regulatory and professional industry accreditations

Requirements

* Master's degree in a relevant field of education
* Membership of an industry body such as CPA or Chartered Accountants ANZ
* Experience as a teacher and subject coordinator in a higher education context
* Recent professional experience as a practitioner in a related sector
