NARULA BUSINESS GROUP PTY LTD We are looking for a skilled and experienced Landscape Gardener to join our team at Mow N' Maintain Property Maintenance. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in landscaping and garden construction, with the ability to carry out a wide range of duties including planting, lawn establishment, and maintenance of outdoor areas.
The role also involves interpreting landscape plans, constructing hardscape features, supervising team members when required, and ensuring all work is completed in line with safety standards and environmental practices. Task & responsibilities Prepare and maintain seedbeds, growing sites, and soil conditions for planting. Propagate and plant trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers, and bulbs. Establish lawn areas by spreading topsoil, sowing grass, or laying instant turf.
Maintain landscaped areas through weeding, trimming, fertilising, watering, and mowing. Prune trees and hedges, and install plant supports and protective structures. Interpret and prepare landscaping plans and drawings, including material and plant selection.
Schedule and coordinate landscape construction activities. Set out and install both hardscape and softscape elements. Construct features such as paved and gravel areas, retaining walls, fences, pergolas, ponds, barbecues, and garden furniture.
Inspect trees to assess health, identify issues, and recommend appropriate treatments. Perform tree lopping and branch shaping using hand tools and chainsaws. Apply pesticides and treatments to control pests and diseases, and remove diseased trees when necessary.
Qualification & experience Certificate III or IV in Landscape Construction, Horticulture, or a related field (or equivalent qualification). Knowledge of plant care, soil management, and irrigation systems. Familiarity with landscaping tools, machinery, and safety procedures.
Minimum 1–2 years of relevant work experience in landscaping or horticulture (preferred). Proven experience in both softscape (planting, turfing) and hardscape (paving, fencing, structures) work. Ability to read and interpret landscaping plans and drawings.
Experience in operating landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and chainsaws. Strong understanding of plant health, pest control, and garden maintenance practices.
