About the Role
Kimberley Meat Company is reopening its processing facility in 2027 and is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to play a critical role in establishing a safe, reliable and efficient operation. This is an opportunity to join an experienced management team and play a key role in the operation of an essential regional facility.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for recruiting and leading a multi skilled team, ensuring plant and equipment are fit for purpose, compliant and optimised for performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and lead the site maintenance function, including preventative and reactive maintenance programs
* Manage commissioning, upgrades and ongoing reliability of processing and utilities equipment
* Lead, mentor and develop a skilled maintenance team and contractors
* Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety and regulatory requirements
* Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts, shutdown planning and continuous improvement initiatives
* Work closely with operations and engineering to support production targets and long-term asset planning
About You
* Excellent leadership and people management skills, developed over 10+ years in leadership roles.
* Proven experience in a maintenance, ideally within meat processing, food manufacturing or heavy industry.
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and automation systems.
* Practical, adaptable and organised with strong schedule management, planning and problem solving skills.
* Confident in decision making, collaborative with others and committed to the safety of our people.
* Relevant trade qualification and/or engineering background preferred.
