The Role
As a Cost Engineer within the Commercial Team for Snowy 2.0, you won't just track numbers; you'll be theinsight engineresponsible for gathering, managing, and rigorously analysing critical time and cost data.
Your expertise will directly and constructivelyshape the financial and schedule successof this monumental, nation-building infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities
Ownthe project's financial integrity by applying rigorous project controls and procedures.
Collaboratewith contractors to ensure accurate and correct cost allocation.
Conductdetailed, regular forecasting to maintain budget and schedule alignment.
ExecuteEarned Value (EV) and productivity analysis for performance reporting.
Proactively highlightfinancial risks and opportunities to influence strategy.
Generatehigh-impact cost engineering reports in collaboration with key supply chain teams.
Performsite measures and audits to verify physical works completion.
Carry outdetailed time and work studies to identify and drive efficiency gains.
Maintainabsolute confidentiality around sensitive and commercial project data.
Actas a direct cost engineering specialist under the guidance of the Senior Commercial Team.
Serveas a key resource, providing timely financial support to the wider Project Team.
About you
A solid foundation in project finance and controls - this includes a relevant degree inEngineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or Finance, complemented by experiencededicated to Project Controls experienceon large-scale, complex infrastructure, mining, or major construction projects.
You must demonstrate a high level ofcommercial acumenand a thorough working knowledge of project control processes and procedures, including hands-on experience withCost Management systems.
Crucially, you possess stronganalytical and problem-solving skills, backed byexcellent engagement skillsthat enable effective communication—both verbally and in writing—with a wide range of project personnel.
