ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an opportunity for a Transport & Asset Manager to join our growing team based in our West Perth office. You will be responsible for managing all transport, asset maintenance and remote facility requirements for our operations.
You will play a key role in managing asset maintenance, coordination of pickup and drop off for all assets and materials. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and approving transport schedules as well as daily transport activities to ensure they're in line with those schedules
- Managing the overall performance of transport activities to achieve business objectives as well as regulatory and policy/procedure compliance, ensuring compliance with our HVA accreditation and chain of responsibility obligations
- Developing, reviewing, and recommending driver sub-contractor supplier terms and conditions for approval
- Map out and coordinate the movement of our transport & assets between various sites across the Pilbara
- Ensuring a compliant vehicle and equipment maintenance program/schedule is implemented to support our safety compliance program
- Create Forecast v Allocation reports based on projected asset requirements over 3, 6 and 12-month periods and execute a delivery plan based on those reports
- Manage and forecast asset maintenance and servicing, and optimise external equipment hire requirements
- Management of all remote Pilbara workshops, logistic and residential facilities
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in the role, you will need;
- 5 years' proven experience in a similar capacity
- Experience in the mining and resources sector, preferably in the Pilbara
- Knowledge and awareness of materials and relevant industry specifications
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of materials management systems
- Leadership or management training is highly desired
