Pump Technician Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Pump Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our dewatering and site infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform daily planned maintenance and inspection activities to maintain all equipment and systems.
* Inspect and test pumping systems, equipment, and components to identify potential hazards, defects, and areas for improvement.
* Maintain all equipment within manufacturers' specifications and ensure high levels of availability.
* Respond to unplanned maintenance, breakdowns, and call-outs in a timely and effective manner.
* Conduct fault finding and take corrective actions to resolve issues promptly.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other contractors and suppliers.
* Collaborate with Stores and Underground personnel to ensure optimum equipment performance and availability.
* Maintain workshop, facilities, and equipment in good working order.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and statutory requirements.
Requirements:
* Educational qualifications in Electrical, Fitting, or Plumbing Trades.
* Poly Welding qualification.
* Telehandler ticket.
* Demonstrated understanding of dewatering and pumping systems.
* C Class Western Australian Driver's License.
* Industry certificates, including High Risk Work License, Elevated Work Platform, Forklift (LF), WAH, and Confined Spaces desirable.
* Previous experience in a similar FIFO role.
