Lake Mac Libraries is seeking a friendly, adaptable Library Service Delivery Officer to support outreach library services across Lake Macquarie.
This role supports customers who are unable to visit library branches, including home delivery clients and nursing home residents. You will assist with delivering library resources, leading volunteers, and helping community members access library services and technology with confidence.
This is a highly people‐focused role suited to someone who enjoys building positive relationships, working independently and as part of a team, and contributing to inclusive and accessible community services.
What you'll be doing
* Supporting and communicating with home delivery clients and community stakeholders
* Assisting with library resource selection using Spydus 10 and Home Services systems
* Delivering library materials and adaptive technologies to clients when required
* Supporting volunteers delivering outreach and technology assistance programmes
* Assisting customers with accessing library collections, services, and digital resources
* Working collaboratively across Arts, Culture and Tourism facilities and outreach locations
* Providing safe and reliable outreach service delivery across the community

Conditions of Employment include:
* Operates across Monday to Sunday between 8:00am and 9:00pm
* Works across multiple Arts Culture Tourism facilities and external community sites
* Requires a Working with Children Check prior to commencement
* May require a pre‐employment medical assessment
* May support front‐of‐house library services when required

You'll bring:
* Certificate III in Library & Information Studies, Customer Service, Arts Administration or equivalent
* Outstanding customer service skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Current Class C Driver's Licence

* Competitive salary $1372.48 – $1595.05 per week plus 12 % superannuation
* Weekend penalty rates apply
* Annual Enterprise Agreement pay increases apply effective July 2026
* Commencing salary set in line with skills and experience with annual reviews available to support movement through the salary range
* 35‐hour working week with flexible work hours
