**The role**

The Wastewater Treatment Compliance Specialist is responsible for the coordination of environmental risk management and ensuring that risks related to wastewater treatment and safety are proactively managed. The Wastewater Treatment Compliance Specialist also manages and coordinates the activities of the Gippsland Water Factory (GWF) laboratory team.

The Wastewater Treatment Group operates within a continually evolving regulatory environment and is required to work with all departments of our organisation. Your ability to be agile and influential across the organisation will help to ensure your success in this role.

**What you'll bring**
- A relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant experience in wastewater treatment or similar field.
- Sound understanding of wastewater treatment processes.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to successfully achieve the variety of tasks in this role.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a small team.
- Working knowledge of guidelines, policies and legislation affecting wastewater treatment.
