Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Administration Officer to join the Murray Bridge Swimming Centre for the 2025–2026 season.

Reporting to the Swimming Centre Manager, this role is responsible for the efficient coordination of the kiosk and reception area, ensuring:

- High-quality customer service

- Accurate financial transactions

- Stock control

- Facility bookings

You will also support the Swimming Centre Manager and Assistant Manager with administrative functions, including staff rostering, recruitment tasks, HR record keeping, and collating operational data via Retail Express to assist reporting and decision-making. A strong focus on work health and safety is essential, ensuring compliance with Work Health & Safety legislation and safe work practices

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Swimming Centre Manager, your responsibilities include:

- Delivering professional, welcoming frontline customer service at reception and kiosk.

- Processing transactions for entry, programs, and bookings.

- Operating and maintaining the POS system (Retail Express), including data accuracy, pricing, and invoicing for user groups and hire.

- Supporting kiosk operations through stock ordering, inventory control, and compliance with SA Health food safety standards.

- Assisting with staff rostering and coordination of kiosk/reception operations.

- Contributing to improvements in operational systems, procedures, and service delivery.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, Working with Children Check, and National Police Check.

- Experience supervising and rostering frontline teams in a busy, multi-functional environment.

- Practical knowledge of financial and administrative processes, including POS, invoicing, stock control, and procurement.

- Understanding of food safety and workplace health and safety compliance.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally across diverse community groups.

The position is offered as a Full Time, fixed term contract at General Officer Level 4 in accordance with the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers Award and Council’s current Enterprise Agreement within an annual salary range of $91,480.48 to $98,107.36 dependent upon skills, knowledge and experience.
