Executive Assistant/Project Officer

* Clerk 5/6 $99,938 - $110,271 plus superannuation

About the role

The Executive Assistant/Project Officer delivers comprehensive executive and administrative support to ensure smooth business operations and assist Senior Executives in achieving organisational goals. The Project Officer component of the role involves conducting research, analysis, reporting, implementation tasks and a variety of administrative activities to support the planning, development, and execution of projects in accordance with established project plans and objectives.

Your Responsibilities

* Balancing competing priorities and providing high-quality, confidential support under heavy workloads and tight deadlines for two Directors and their units.

* Provide comprehensive administrative support for two Directors as required

* Monitor and manage the Director's inbox and correspondence

About you –

As the Executive Assistant/Project officer you will be able to demonstrate the following

* Draft and prepare correspondence to support the operational needs of the Directors and their units.
* Collect, analyse, and present background information to assist Directors in informed decision-making and planning.
* Foster strong customer relationships and collaborate with colleagues across directorates to improve service delivery and operational efficiencies.
* Support project teams by assisting with task completion, conducting basic research and analysis, and monitoring and reporting on project progress, milestones, and deliverables to meet time, cost, and quality expectations.
* Confidently use technology systems and applications to deliver efficient services and maintain accurate, compliant records in line with departmental policy.
* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

* List any essential requirements for the role from the RD if applicable.
* Previous experience as an Executive Assistant
* Strong understanding of Microsoft Suite
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
