**About the role**
In this role you will partner closely with the Commercial Development Manager in transforming the supplier performance. You will inspire customers through innovative, convenient solutions, achieving our smarter selling goals by reducing end to end supply chain cost, and winning together with suppliers.
As a member of this team, you will take a strategic approach to deliver bold COGs targets and support in bringing together all elements of the Merchandise strategy, (e.g., Range, Value and Pricing, promotional effectiveness, supplier promotional funding), and help embed this in how we engage with our supplier partners.
**You'll also**:
- Identify and unlock opportunities for end-to-end cost reduction and simplification, supporting a variety of commercial and strategy projects
- Utilise end-to-end supplier joint business planning process to drive category growth through joint profit pool expansion
- Build frameworks to guide the approach and playbooks that are consistently used by suppliers, Category Managers, and the Supplier Management team
- Drive commercial excellence through our renowned Coles Business Unit Academy program
- Drive supplier communication on transformative initiatives
- Partner with varied stakeholders in progressing Supplier relationships and progress against commercial objectives
**About you and your skills**
This role will provide the opportunity for you to showcase your strong communication skills, your love of data and provide the genuine ability to have impact in your next role You will also have:
- Bachelor level Business, Finance, or engineering Qualification - preferred
- Post Graduate business Qualifications (e.g., MBA, CA, CPA) will be highly regarded
- Proven years of experience in a similar commercial role where you developed and drove strategic change
- Strong analytical and insight generation skills
- Excellent communication skills, (both written and verbal)
- Developed stakeholder management experience
- Experience thriving in a changing and ambiguous environment
