Senior Consultant, Occupational Hygiene & HazMat Consulting
Join WSP as a Senior Consultant in the Occupational Hygiene and Hazardous Materials team, focusing on protecting worker health and providing guidance to clients on health, safety, and legislative requirements related to the workplace and occupational exposure. This role is based in Brisbane or Gold Coast, with a hybrid work model allowing 1-2 days of remote work per week.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain high standards of customer service, technical quality, and team culture within an energetic team environment.
2. Develop asbestos monitoring and decontamination strategies, including issuing clearances.
3. Conduct sampling for airborne contaminants such as respirable crystalline silica, dust, chemicals, noise, and vibration to provide technical recommendations for worker protection.
4. Undertake site surveys, including sampling of suspected hazardous building materials and pre-demolition assessments.
5. Provide technical guidance during asbestos removal projects.
6. Conduct indoor air quality, mould, and moisture assessments, with recommendations for remediation.
7. Manage small to medium-sized projects and support business development strategies.
8. Analyze data, and prepare technical reports and proposals with support from senior staff and specialists.

About You:
* Experience in asbestos/HazMat consultancy or relevant industries such as environmental management, construction, civil, or mining.
* Experience in measuring and assessing occupational hazards.
* Willingness to develop consulting and project management skills, including client relationship development.
* Enthusiastic team player committed to safety and well-being.
* Possession of an Australian Driver's License.
* Trade qualifications or tertiary education in Building and Construction, Environmental Science, Health and Safety, Occupational Hygiene, or related fields.
* Asbestos Assessors License is highly regarded.
