Principal/Senior Wastewater Modeller/Planning Engineer - Water (2600009G)
Description
Our Water Group in Victoria has developed many long‐term relationships in the water market, and a strong pipeline of work. We have a continued focus on expanding our capability across a range of disciplines to support our water clients through diversity of skill set and thought. We are seeking motivated engineers or other suitably qualified professionals to join our high‐performing Water team in our Melbourne office.
Responsibilities
* Undertake hydraulic modelling, planning studies and feasibility assessments for wastewater infrastructure projects.
* Provide technical leadership as an experienced user of wastewater modelling software such as Innovyze InfoWorks ICM, and guide less experienced professionals.
* Provide technical input to wastewater engineering projects to meet project needs and client expectations, producing modelling outputs and planning reports.
* Use GIS software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, QGIS) to analyse, interpret and produce graphic outputs from spatial information.
* Support the team in developing and expanding Stantec's capability in wastewater planning, including obtaining new clients and/or additional work from existing clients.
* Contribute to proposal and bid development to support business development activities.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related professional qualification.
* RPEV status or ability to obtain within 3 months, as relevant to your engineering discipline.
* A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in the water industry (we are open to less experienced candidates who have a passion for wastewater modelling and planning).
* Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring to less experienced professionals.
* Experience communicating with external clients and stakeholders.
* Experienced user of wastewater modelling software (Innovyze InfoWorks ICM) and GIS software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, QGIS).
* Experience with Ruby, SQL and Python scripts would be beneficial.
* Experience in project management would be beneficial.
