Job Description

About the Role:

We're looking for a proactive, highly organised Senior Officer Facilities to oversee facilities operations across EverAbility Groups three key Tasmanian sites—Hobart, Launceston and Derwent Park. This position is based at our Hobart office.

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager – VisAbility Tasmania, this role is integral to keeping our environments safe, compliant, well maintained and fit for purpose, enabling the delivery of exceptional services to our clients.

This is a hands‐on, varied role that blends facilities coordination with contractor management, fleet and security administration and general office management support - perfect for someone who enjoys variety and making a tangible difference.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate facilities and building maintenance across three sites, including inspections, risk identification and follow-up
* Liaise with landlords and property agents for leased sites
* Coordinate and manage contractors and service providers (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire, security, cleaning, etc.)
* Develop, maintain and monitor preventative maintenance schedules and compliance registers
* Manage access and security systems (keys, swipe cards, fobs, registers and reporting)
* Coordinate the Tasmanian vehicle fleet, including servicing, registrations and compliance
* Assist with preparation and monitoring of facilities and maintenance budgets
* Support office management activities including reception coverage, stock control and administration
* Coordinate office relocations, space planning and layout improvements
* Contribute to WHS activities and continuous improvement initiatives
* Perform other duties as reasonably required.

Desired Skills and Experience

You are an organised and practical facilities professional who enjoys autonomy and variety, with the ability to balance planned maintenance and reactive issues across multiple sites.

You will bring:

Required Skills

* Demonstrated experience coordinating facilities or property maintenance across multiple sites
* Strong contractor and stakeholder management skills, including negotiating scopes of work and rates
* Working knowledge of WHS and building compliance requirements
* Experience contributing to budgets and procurement processes
* Strong administration, systems and reporting skills (Microsoft Office or similar systems)
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
* Qualification in facilities, property, project or office management (or equivalent experience)
* Experience in contract management, procurement or leasing
* Exposure to fleet management, access/security systems or office relocations.
