You will be accountable for pricing strategy on the largest lending portfolio in Australia to deliver solutions across Acquisition, Repricing, Customer Retention Unit and Fixed Rate Rollover.

The Core Manufacturing Crew is dedicated to delivering customer obsessed home buying solutions enabling Australians to achieve their home ownership goals, whilst having the most sophisticated risk and reward settings and ensuring responsible risk management. We support the proprietary, digital and third‐party channels to meet our customers' home ownership goals.

In the Crew we create new and enhance the existing suite of core home loans product and features; design innovative and digitised pricing solutions that create exceptional pricing experiences for our customers and distribution partners while delivering best‐in‐class home loan pricing strategies and sustainable returns. We will deliver a step change in the data, analytics and modelling used in Home Buying credit and pricing decisions to deliver improved business outcomes and exceptional customer experience.

Do work that matters

You will report to the Crew Lead (General Manager level), Core Manufacturing Crew, and as a Product Owner (at the Executive Manager level), you will be accountable for best in class and fair pricing strategies to support our customers achieve their home ownership goals whilst also delivering long‐term sustainable results.

Helping to drive our customer obsession, as the Product Owner you will be strategically meeting customer product needs, optimising processes for our distribution partners and improving customer experience. You will continuously iterate and enhance solutions to create better outcomes and value for customer and stakeholders. You will move forward with less‐than‐perfect information, and quickly pivot to changing work demands, and possess the ability to accurately evaluate complex and ambiguous situations to reach timely, objective and informed decisions. You will influence others by communicating value with credibility and authority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define the pricing strategy, vision, goals and roadmap aligned with the Home Buying Core Manufacturing Crew objective and purpose to deliver market‐leading pricing strategy optimisation solutions.
  • Ongoing price optimisation and margin management.
  • More accurate, targeted and seamless pricing strategy and settings.
  • Reduce time to pricing decision.
  • Lead on a day‐to‐day basis three Product Owners to develop and optimise pricing solutions that streamline processes supporting our frontline and Pricing Decision teams to provide customers with a world‐class pricing experience.
  • Develop new pricing capability to maximize value through new features and enhanced decisioning and streamlined delivery of pricing and customer offers.
  • Simplify and modernise the Above‐The‐Line pricing process by implementing a productive and streamlined approach that delivers accurate and competitive pricing to our customers.
  • Build and prioritise the Squad backlog in collaboration with key stakeholders working closely with the Analytics and Modelling Value Stream.
  • Lead and develop a squad of Senior Managers/Managers, creating a psychologically safe, inclusive, accountable and high‐performance culture.
  • Identify risk, dependencies and issues for the squad in line with excellent management of operational risk and compliance outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in retail banking and home loans pricing and credit risk modelling essential.
  • Translation of pricing strategy vision to roadmap and backlog.
  • Advanced commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Advanced communication and influencing skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem‐solving capability.
  • Experience with Agile methodology; working within an Agile matrix would be ideal.
