Centre Director for large Centre in Randwick
We are a small, family-oriented private company, proud of our long history in early learning. Extending beyond 30 years, we focus on embedding a culture of collaborative professional learning and on developing strong partnerships with the local community, including local schools, allied health professionals, and registered professional training organisations.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Director to work in our state of the art 160-place Centre in Randwick. Our Centre is very established with long-standing team members who have built reciprocal relationships with families in the local community. We have a strong leadership team with all the essential skills to support the incoming Director transition smoothly into their role.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Director, you will be performing numerous duties as part of your role, not limited to those listed below:
* Be committed to principles and standards of child safety and ensure they understand their responsibilities as a Mandatory Reporter
* Taking the lead of the Centre operationally and maintaining viability
* Managing compliance expectations at all levels, ensuring that practices are of high quality at all times
* Engaging in the Quality Improvement Process, ensuring that the QIP is up to date with daily entries reflecting standards
* Completing rosters and effectively managing staffing arrangements
* Leading our Community Engagement Program to build relationships with the local community
* Participating in and contributing to our Communities of Practice Professional Learning Program by ensuring Educators are engaging in learning content and making practice changes to their everyday practice
* Engaging in critical reflective practice and documenting leadership decisions
* Working collaboratively with your Portfolio Leader and ensuring that you act on advice and make changes as required
* Supporting the planning and implementation of the daily learning programs for children, ensuring that documentation is up to date and reflected on our digital platforms
* Engage in daily administrative duties, ensuring that practices, policies and systems are maintained at
* Reflecting on your performance and participating in probationary processes

* Completed childcare qualifications such as an Early Childhood Degree or Diploma in Children's Services
* Graduate Diploma-qualified applicants must have at least 3 years of leadership experience working directly with children in an Australian Early Learning Centre in a Centre Director role
* Completed Child Protection, Anaphylaxis, Asthma, Senior First Aid and Red Nose training
* Have an understanding of Child Safe Standards, Curriculum Frameworks and National Quality Standards
* Demonstrated leadership characteristics to support a dynamic staffing team effectively
* Experience in managing relationships in and outside of the Centre
* A minimum of 3-5 years of early childhood leadership experience is required
* Centre Director experience is essential for this position
* Be solution-driven, positive and able to work with people from various backgrounds and learning levels
* Demonstrate positivity and have excellent social skills
* Have excellent spoken and written English capability
* Be professionally presented at all times and be willing to abide by our uniform policy
* Be reliable and can work independently
* Have a current Working with Children Check (not volunteer), National Police Check and GECCKO Child Protection Training
* Be willing to attend an in-person interview and provide up-to-date reference check details relevant to the role
* Be willing to complete a Prohibited Employment Declaration Form
* Be forthcomingwith details of childcare relevant referees to complete accurate reference checks as part of the recruitment process
* A minimum of 3 years of Director leadership experience is required for this role
