Join our team as an Executive Officer – Infrastructure and Operations

Your responsibilities will include:
* Building and maintaining strong, effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and senior executives to support strategic initiatives and resolve significant issues promptly.
* Leading the coordination and collation of departmental submissions, presentations, briefings, and reports for Council and Executive Leadership forums.
* Managing the Office of the General Manager Infrastructure and Operations, including overseeing correspondence, systems and processes, and providing direct line management to the Executive Assistant.
* Preparing and proof‐reading high quality documentation including business cases, reports, briefing notes, minutes, letters, and workshop presentations.
* Conducting high level research, investigations, and analysis to provide informed advice aligned with organisational goals, current trends, and strategic priorities.
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, communication, and the overall performance of the Office.
Skills and experience:
* Proven achievement in providing high level professional, strategic, and confidential support to senior executives or leaders in politically sensitive environments.
* Exceptional interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and conflict‐resolution skills, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
* Highly developed research, analytical, and written communication skills with demonstrated experience producing comprehensive and accurate executive‐level documentation.
* Strong organisational and time management capability, with the ability to thrive under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
* Experience in, or understanding of, public sector environments and the legislative frameworks that apply.

To be considered for this position, you will hold a current C Class Driver's Licence and be willing to undergo a criminal history check prior to appointment. In addition, while not essential, further studies in business, project management or a related discipline are desirable and will support your continued growth and development in this role.
