MTC Recruitment are specialist recruiters within the Manufacturing, Logistics and Warehousing sectors. From keeping the wheels of logistics turning to powering the engine of manufacturing, we know the essential role that skilled staff – both blue collar and white collar.
Currently, we are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Maintenance Electricians/Fitters for opportunities in the greater Sydney metro area.
Responsibilities
- Installation, maintenance and repairing electrical systems, and maintaining mechanical plant & equipment
- Diagnostics of electrical issues, troubleshoot, and perform necessary repairs
- Interpretation of blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, wiring, controls and mechanical conveyors and motors
- Working collaboratively with maintenance and production teams
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including repairs, installations, and inspections
- Following safety related policies and procedures and compliance with company policies
Qualifications
- Relevant Trade Qualifications - Electrical Fitter/Mechanical Fitter
- Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing setting such as FMCG, Manufacturing or Rail
- Solid technical skills in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems
- Experienced with preventive maintenance
- Experienced with PLC's e.g. Allen Bradley / Siemens (An advantage)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Able to identify opportunities for process improvement
