Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical, Structures or Avionics)
Location: Cairns, QLD
We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Cairns.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Dismantling, inspecting, testing, repairing and reassembling aircraft engines, ancillary components, accessories and electrical systems;
* Conducting routine pre–flight checks and inspections of engines and equipment;
* Maintaining thorough records of actions taken;
* Assembling components, parts and subassemblies of aircraft engines and equipment;
* Testing, maintaining, replacing and upgrading aircraft safety equipment.
The essential requirements are:
* 2+ years experience on Dash 8 Q200, Q300 and Q400 aircraft (or similar type, e.g. turboprop aircraft);
* Trade Certificate IV (Mechanical), (Structures) or (Avionics);
* Highly skilled and competent in aircraft mechanical system troubleshooting, repair and installation of mechanical components;
* Strong team player;
* Ability to follow supervisory direction;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Consistent positive and proactive attitude;
* Passion for safe work practices;
* Valid work visa;
* Red ASIC card (or ability to obtain);
* Current Australian Driver's licence.
Shifts will be primarily Monday to Friday day shifts, with some possible early/late & night shifts.
We are specifically looking for candidates capable of committing to flexible working arrangements.
In this role, you will be awarded competitive remuneration ($70,000.00 - $80,000.00 p.a., excluding superannuation), opportunities to complete training with our accredited development/education provider and potential pathways to full-time, permanent employment with our industry partners.
