Overview
A building certification company in Queensland is seeking a carpenter / supervisor to transition into a role as a building certifier. The role involves acquiring knowledge of the Building Code of Australia, managing technical aspects of residential construction projects, and client liaison. Projects focus on high-end boutique residential homes.
Responsibilities
* Acquire knowledge of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and applicable building legislation.
* Manage technical aspects of residential construction projects from inception to completion.
* Serve as a liaison with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
* Support the transition path from carpentry/supervision to building certifier and contribute to certification processes as required.
Qualifications
* Over 5 years of on-site carpentry experience.
* Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with clients and stakeholders.
* Familiarity with relevant building legislation and the Building Code of Australia (BCA).
* Experience with residential high-end boutique homes is a plus.
