Job Description
The Change and Risk Management Officer plays a crucial role in the team responsible for managing changes and risks on a water desalination plant.
This position involves:
* Managing stakeholder relationships
* Maintaining compliance with the Change and Risk Management Plan
* Identifying changes at post-contract stage
* Preparing head contract claims
* Managing risk contingency
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and manage project changes impacting time, cost, and scope
* Prepare and support contract claims using project accounting data
* Ensure change requests are processed, approved, and communicated effectively to stakeholders
* Deliver tailored training to site teams on project-specific change management processes
* Identify, assess, and monitor risks and opportunities aligning them with change management strategies
* Engage stakeholders and report on risks ensuring compliance through audits and providing actionable insights to senior management
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience
* Read and interpret plans and specifications
* Basic measurement using software (e.g., BlueBeam)
* Cost estimating (ability to do first principle pricing is an advantage)
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
* Attention to details, accuracy, and ability to critically think through claim issues
* Ability to handle competing priorities and multitask
