- Deliver clear and engaging activity instruction to clients.
- Salary rate $41.46 per hour plus all casual loadings
- Casual opportunities based at Penrith Whitewater Stadium

About the role

Casual Activities Instructors provide high quality activities instruction and customer service to clients of the Penrith Whitewater Stadium.

- Liaison and customer support and the opportunity to facilitate activities instruction and conduct activities for Venue clients.
- Working with a diverse range of customers including children, adults, and persons of all abilities from diverse backgrounds.

About you

The ideal candidates will bring to the role;

- Experience delivering high level customer service to a diverse range of client groups.
- A willingness to learn and a can-do attitude.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- An ability to be a team player and open to collaborating with others.

Candidates will need to be available during Weekdays (Mon – Fri) to undertake shifts.

- Hold a current qualification in one or more of the following:
- Kayak instruction
- SISOKYK005 Lead kayaking activities on inland flatwater
- Paddle Australia - Whitewater kayak instructor
- SISOKYK008 Lead kayaking activities on grade 3 rivers
- Whitewater rafting
- SISORAF002 Guide a raft on grade 3 rivers and SISORSC005 Rescue others in white water
- International Rafting Federation – Raft guide
- A valid Working with Children Check
- Valid First Aid/CPR certificate or willingness to obtain

It is an expectation that successful candidates have completed or are willing to complete (prior to commencement) one or more of the following courses:

- 4-day learn to kayak course, and 2-day flatwater kayak instructor course
- 6-day raft guide course

Eligibility: must be Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident or hold a valid Australian working Visa for the duration of the appointment. Any offer of employment is subject to a satisfactory National Police Check and Pre-Employment Health Assessment.
