Applicants can apply to teach any of, or multiple of, the following subjects/ courses:
HSC / IB
* Mathematics (All levels)
* English (All levels)
* Sciences: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
* Humanity subjects are also welcome
Years 6-10
* Mathematics
About the role:
* Teach small or 1-on-1 classes weekly throughout the school term, with lesson material and resources provided by us.
* Managing and developing the skills and talents of your students through frequent progress checks and marking work completed by them.
* Communication skills through transferring and teaching knowledge.
* Leadership skills in managing classes and inspiring students to stay motivated, take initiative in their learning, and achieve their academic goals.
* Organisation and planning skills through tracking student progress and working systematically with them to personalise an effective syllabus.
Personal requirements for the job:
* Have in-depth knowledge of the HSC / IB / NSW Education curriculum
* University students or graduates are welcome.
* Previous experience in teaching school students is valued, but not compulsory.
* Able to engage with students and explain difficult concepts in a way comprehensible to a school student.
* Reliable and punctual.
* Convenient location next to Burwood station, Burwood Chinatown and Plaza.
* Modern facilities to accommodate a comfortable teaching environment.
* Flexible hours available, suitable for university students
