AGL's BESS Operations team has a newly created and exciting opportunity for a Site Technician (BESS) based at our newly transitioned Liddell site. You will be reporting into the Site Team Leader and assisting with the operation and maintenance of AGL's growing grid‐scale battery fleet.
AGL's ambitious energy targets of 12GW of new renewable and firming capacity by 2035 see grid‐scale batteries as a key part of our asset portfolio. This role will provide long‐term growth and exposure to a variety of different projects and opportunities across the region.
What you'll be doing:
* Developing BESS service, repair schedules and operational management plans.
* Working with a multi‐disciplined team of engineers, operators and technicians.
* Providing leadership and management of AGL's contractor management system.
* Managing permit‐to‐work systems.
* Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure BESS maintenance activities are delivered on time.
What you'll bring:
* Trade qualification in electrical discipline and High Voltage switching operations certificate.
* Capability with varied software systems including SCADA, permitting systems, maintenance systems and similar.
* NSW driver's licence.
* Experience in permit creation and workflow management.
* Demonstrated risk management experience including hazard identification, risk assessment and mitigation/preventative control awareness.
