Job Description
The role of an Operations Assistant is unique compared to other roles due to its combination of hand‐on support, logistical coordination, and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare setting. OAs have multifaceted responsibilities such as juggling various tasks, including patient transport, equipment set‐up, and stock management. OAs work closely with nurses and surgeons and allied health professionals. The role requires physical stamina for tasks like moving equipment and patients, as well as mental agility to respond to urgent and unexpected demands. The employee must be available to work on a 7‐day rotating roster, including on‐call shifts and public holidays.
Responsibilities
* Maintenance and cleanliness of Operating Theatre, patient's beds, and trollies. Removal of wastes, dirty case carts. Cleaning of floors and equipment. Terminal cleaning of operating theatre at the end of the day.
* Preparing operating theatre by setting up required equipment.
* Safe patient transport. Communication and coordination.
* Flexibility and adaptability. Adherence to policies and procedures.
* Assist the clinical staff to prepare the deceased body and transfer to the morgue.

* Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
* Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
* Collaborative mindset to work effectively with clinical staff.
* Physical stamina for hands‐on tasks.
* Ability to work a 7‐day rotating roster.
