The role
Reporting to the Coordinator, you will operate as a liaison between scientists and key clients in the delivery of scientific services. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of communication with scientists and clients.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Ensure work practices align with the Department of Justice and Attorney-General records management policy, standards and procedures.
- Liaise with scientists and key clients in the delivery of scientific services in relation to priorities, timeframes, outcomes of scientific analysis and client requirements.
- Operate a range of computer software (word processing, databases e.g. Forensic Register, AUSLAB, QWIC QHEPS and spreadsheets) with a high level of accuracy to ensure integrity of information, records and reporting is maintained.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information in accordance with legal requirements and the Queensland Public Service Code of Conduct.
- Ensure NATA/ISO accreditation/certification requirements are maintained including performing quality control procedures and assisting in the preparation of procedure manuals.

Located at Coopers Plains in Brisbane, Forensic Science Queensland (FSQ) operates specialised Forensic Biology and Forensic Chemistry functions that support the criminal justice and coronial systems in Queensland.
The Liaison Unit is an administration team inputting data and liaising with clients to ensure correct information is captured for existing cases and cases within the Judicial system.
