About the Role
As a Rollingstock Maintainer, you'll play a vital role in keeping our trains safe, reliable, and running on time. This is a great chance to learn on the job in a supportive environment, gain practical skills, and grow with Australia's largest rail freight company.
With full training provided, your day-to-day will include:
Learning to inspect and test key parts of our wagons, including brakes
Helping move and organise rollingstock within the yard (don't worry — we'll show you how)
Assisting in basic maintenance and repair tasks under supervision
Operating tools and equipment (after training) to support rollingstock upkeep
Supporting your team with general yard duties and teamwork-focused tasks
Who We're Looking For
We're not expecting you to be a rail or mechanical expert — we'll teach you everything you need to know. What matters most is that you bring:
A keen interest in learning mechanical or hands-on work
A strong commitment to working safely and following instructions
Good communication and teamwork skills
A "can-do" attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves
A current unrestricted C-class driver's licence
