About The Project
The Stations Alliance North team, comprising John Holland, Arup, and KBR are excited to be delivering the transformative Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East WP-F package.
The Alliance will build world-class underground stations at Glen Waverley, Burwood and Box Hill.
The new stations will be fully accessible, light-filled spaces with retail and dining options – and will feature elements inspired by the history of the local community and First Nations peoples – with each station to have a Green Star rating of at least 5 stars.
The SRL will have safe, easy and accessible connections to existing Metro stations, as well as new and upgraded bus and tram interchanges, walking and cycling paths and bike parking.
These new SRL stations will support the delivery of more homes – within walking distance of jobs, health services, universities and quality open space.
SRL is a transport and urban planning project that will deliver world-class public transport, reduce travel times, and support the delivery of more homes and housing.
Responsibilities of the role include
* Provide leadership to create effective teams and ensure all accounting and office staff is trained and competent to achieve position objectives and demonstrate initiative in the conduct of assignments.
* Formulate and administer approved general accounting practices to ensure accounting, financial and operating reports accurately reflect the conditions of the business and provide reliable information for control and management purposes.
* Oversee the preparation of financial information and reports in accordance with statutory and compliance requirements.
* Ensure activities related to the function comply with relevant Acts, national and state regulatory frameworks, legal demands, systems and ethical standards.
* Participate in, or direct the development of accounting methods, compliance and governance processes and practices and administer approved accounting procedures.
* Ensure financial outcomes in reducing costs and meeting budgets.
* Ensure contractual and commercial awareness in Head Contract and subcontract agreements.
* Promote a culture of business excellence within the finance and administration function through governance, accountability, innovation, transparency and reporting against all established performance objectives.
* Build strong internal and external stakeholder management through positive, proactive and professional communication to keep key people informed.
About You
* Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor level) in discipline relevant to function area e.g. Management/Finance/Commerce/Accounting/Business
* CA or CPA Qualified
* Significant relevant management experience at a senior manager level.
* 10+ years' experience with an appropriate degree or diploma.
* Management experience of three to four professional accounting staff.
