We are seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic Generator Sales team at Macfarlane Generators Pty Ltd in Clayton South, Victoria. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales efforts by providing accurate and competitive estimates for our wide range of generator products and services.
What you'll be doing
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for generator installations, encompassing equipment, labour, and any additional requirements
* Collaborate with sales representatives to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions
* Analyse technical specifications, drawings, and project details to ensure accurate pricing and feasibility
* Maintain a comprehensive database of pricing, product information, and supplier data to support the sales process
* Provide timely and responsive support to sales team members, ensuring a seamless customer experience
* Continuously research market trends, industry developments, and competitor offerings to inform pricing strategies
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator or similar role within the generator or broader electrical industry
* Strong technical understanding of generator systems, electrical design, and installation requirements
* Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and electrical schematics
* Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to ensure accurate cost estimates and pricing
* Adept at using relevant software tools and applications for estimating and data management
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with the sales team
* Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
* Trade qualification in electrical services is essential to support technical understanding requirements
* Minimum 6-12 months experience in a sales or customer service role to complement estimating responsibilities
* Australian citizenship is required for this position
* Intermediate level proficiency in MS Office products is required for effective data management and reporting
