Working with us
- For 1 year you will receive an isolation bonus of AUD$3,500. If you stay for 2 years you will receive AUD$10,500, and for your 3rd year (and every year after that) you will receive AUD$7,000.

In your downtime, we will provide 2 return airfares per annum (including spouse/dependents) to the nearest east coast provincial city in conjunction with your recreation leave; of which we offer 5 weeks per annum with a 17.5% loading/bonus.

The Yellagundgimarra Hospital Doomadgee is a Level 2 remote hospital providing 24/7 acute inpatient and emergency care. Services are delivered by a multidisciplinary team, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers, nursing, medical, administration and operational staff, with a robust focus on culturally appropriate care.
About The Role
As a Registered Nurse at Doomadgee Hospital, you'll deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care across a diverse patient group. Working within a small, dedicated team, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your clinical skills, contribute to quality improvement, and provide culturally responsive care to the local community. In this role, you will:
- Deliver comprehensive, person-centred nursing care across emergency and acute settings.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Provide safe, culturally appropriate care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients.
- Maintain high standards of documentation and compliance with professional guidelines.
Requirements
- Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
