About the Role
The Administration role is a key position providing reception services, office facilities management, and administration support across the AMA.
Reporting to the Administration Services Manager, it is part of a small, collaborative team that delivers high-quality support to staff, executives, and members.
This is a permanent, full-time role with a standard 9am–5pm schedule and a hybrid arrangement of three days in the office and two days working from home following induction.

As the Administrator/Receptionist, you will bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a professional approach.
You will be confident in providing front-of-house reception services, managing competing priorities, and delivering reliable administration support across the organisation.
You will have excellent communication and customer service skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment where being proactive, adaptable, and collaborative ensures smooth office operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide reception services including answering calls, assisting visitors, coordinating mail, and managing inboxes
Deliver general administration support across several business functions and provide backup support to team members when required
Oversee office facilities, including supplies, storage, car parking, and security passes
Process expense claims, invoices, and credit card reconciliations
Maintain the AMA intranet and support staff onboarding and offboarding processes
Assist with travel bookings, internal meeting coordination, and other administrative tasks as needed
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in administration or office support within a busy environment
Strong organisational and time management skills with high attention to detail
Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and SharePoint
Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and contribute effectively in a small team
Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent (desirable)
