PAYROLL MANAGER - $130/140,000 + SUPER - SYD, LIVERPOOL - FLEX WORKING HOURS
This large and rapidly growing national Manufacturing organisation with proud 40 + years of history, is on the hunt for a Payroll Manager superstar to take charge of a long standing payroll team. They are looking for a subject matter expert in all thing payroll to help develop their Payroll Officers (3/4 years experience) and hire a new Payroll Officer to become the future 2IC.
They are also currently going through a Kronos implementation project, together with other process improvements, with the intention of modernising the business across all departments to reach the next level.

NUTS & BOLTS:
* Develop the strategy for the delivery of an effective payroll capability that meets the need of key internal and external stakeholders, including timekeeping, payroll, payments authorisations, payroll tax, superannuation and payroll accounting / GL integration
* Manage and Administration of End of Month process
* Develop a continuous review approach, challenging assumptions, identifying trends and recommending solutions for payroll
* Develop and maintain effective internal controls and proactively work to identify and implement efficiency improvements
* Develop and implement best practices, key performance indicators and metrics
* Leading and develop a team of highly capable payroll employees who will drive a culture of continuous improvement and the delivery of outcomes to successfully deliver strategic ambitions
* Develop and maintain a payroll risk and crisis management strategy
* Provide the advanced consulting, negotiation, collaboration and change management skills required for working with internal & external stakeholders
* Build relationships to help effectively manage external payroll vendors
* Provide the advanced analytical/problem solving skills required for working through root cause analysis of payroll process, system and service delivery issues
* Ensure consistency in payroll practices, controls, and management reporting in accordance with established policies and procedures including all legislative compliance requirements
* Analyse and interpret company policies and government regulations that impact the processing of payroll
* Direct the finance and the payroll accounting/GL interface process
* Partner with key internal stakeholders regarding the processing of employee health and welfare benefits, remuneration, acquisitions/divestitures, etc.
* Maintain the confidentiality of all payroll, employee and any proprietary information
* Establish and drive team to deliver an exceptional customer partnering and experience
* Drive payroll related projects
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
* 5 year Payroll Management with ideal min 10 years in the industry
* Weekly payroll experience
* Similar, complex payroll industry background with multiple award interpretation knowledge - Manufacturing, Construction, Retail, FMCG etc.
* T&A systems experience - Kronos would be great but open to anything similar
* Excellent problem solving skills
* Proactive, resilient and tenacious - can take charge with proven leadership skills
* A love of mentoring and developing younger team members
