We walk with each person to understand the unique circumstances of their life and we empower them to live well through practical and reliable support.About YouThe successful applicant will bring:Tertiary qualifications in relevant human services (e.g. Psychology, Counselling) or equivalent demonstrated experienceClinical membership of relevant professional body (e.g. PACFA - Psychotherapy and Counsellors Association of Australia)Experience working with men and facilitating Men’s Behaviour Change ProgramsDemonstrated experience & skills in counselling and group workExperience in providing counselling in an agency settingDemonstrated experience & skills in individual and group settings with people experiencing and/or using Domestic Family Violence (leading DV programs/groups)Experience in trauma informed practiceDemonstrated experience relating to diverse groups, e.g. Government departments & other agenciesDemonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and promote the organisation’s values through interactions at workDemonstrated understanding of inclusive, respectful practice when working with First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse, LGBTIA+ and people with disabilitiesDemonstrated commitment to social justice outcomes in counselling & group workExcellent written & oral communication skillsWorking with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)Willing to undergo a Police CheckCurrent Drivers’ LicenseAbout UsBaptistCare is a leading for-purpose Christian-based care organisation that supports thousands of people across more than 100 locations in NSW, ACT and WA.
