We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Teacher to join our Learning Services team. This full-time role will involve providing tailored academic support and guidance to students in Years 7 through 12.

All Saints Grammar is a Co-educational School in inner South West Sydney that caters for students from PreKinder to Year 12 and has been helping shape the lives of students and partnering with families since 1990. General Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be an outstanding teacher who will be part of a creative and dynamic team. They will possess an exemplary understanding of best practice and exhibit a deep commitment to and understanding of student learning.
You will be reporting to our Head of School and will be responsible for the provision of quality educational experiences for students in an environment that reflects the priorities and pillars of the school community.
Responsibilities of the role
* Assisting with the development, implementation and evaluation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with high learning needs (both support and extension) Identifying resources and implanting effective strategies to create learning and social opportunities for students with learning needs
* Providing specialist teaching to students on a one-to-one or small group basis as appropriate
* Assists with the implementation of special provisions processes for student assessment purposes in Years 7-12
* Making appropriate adjustments to assessment tasks in consultation with class/subject teachers for students with learning needs
* Assessing student skills and literacy and numeracy levels using a range of assessment tools depending on the needs of the student
* Assisting classroom teachers with the early identification of students with learning disabilities or those considered to be 'at risk' of developing learning disabilities
* Assist with the facilitation of study skills/time management activities to assist students with their learning
* Implementing the Learning Enrichment procedures in the identification of students with learning needs
* Collaboratively planning with teachers, parents and students for transition of students with high support needs
* Assisting in the preparation of the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) Contributing to staff professional learning and parent education programs
* Liaising with parents of students on a Learning Support program Maintaining accurate records and tracking student progress

Desired Skills and Knowledge
* Tertiary qualification in Education with Post Graduate qualifications in Special Education
* Significant experience in learning support education
* Experienced classroom teacher familiar with the implementation of the NESA new syllabuses
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience in digital literacy with regard to application in teaching and learning
* Able to develop a stimulating and engaging learning environment
* Demonstrate implementation of planned activities and supply evidence of effective evaluation of teacher/learning activities
* Provide evidence of incorporating effective learning programs and suitable teaching aids and/or resources
* Experience in assessing and reporting on student progress and classroom management techniques.
