The Opportunity

Coregas has an opportunity for an Ultrasonic Technician to join our team. The role will be based at our Yennora, NSW site. The duties will include:

* Perform ultrasonic inspections on gas cylinders in accordance with company and regulatory standards, ensuring that all inspections are thorough and accurate.
* Set up and calibrate ultrasonic testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results, making adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
* Interpret and analyze ultrasonic data to identify defects, inconsistencies, or irregularities, and provide detailed reports on findings.
* Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, representing the Coregas brand through every customer interaction.
* Determine and meet customer needs when interacting with customers, ensuring that their requirements are understood and fulfilled.
* Record and maintain accurate testing results, including detailed inspection reports, and ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and organized for auditing purposes.
* Update and organize test logs and other required documentation, ensuring that all records are accurate and easily accessible.
* Communicate findings with the Test Station Supervisor and other team members, collaborating to address any issues and ensure that all testing processes are efficient and effective.
* Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety regulations and company policies, and by ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and used safely.
* Perform valving, scrubbing, stamping, and painting operations as required, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and document and report any cylinders that fail inspection or exhibit critical defects.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times to ensure the safety of all employees and customers.
* Participate in training sessions to remain up-to-date on advancements in ultrasonic testing and NDT techniques, and suggest improvements to testing processes or equipment to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

* You must hold, at minimum, a diploma course, preferably within the mechanical engineering, industrial automation, or related field of study. Tertiary degree holders, encouraged to apply.
* You must have minimum 3 years of experience performing Mechanical or Technician duties within an industrial industry
* Proficiency in using Word, PowerPoint, and spreadsheet software is essential.
* Significant HSE or Risk management experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
* You should possess strong technical and operational excellence, with the ability to recognize and resolve problems proactively.
* Excellent communication and relationship management skills are necessary for this role.
