Job Role Overview
Rope access technicians possess specialized techniques and equipment to reach challenging environments. They ensure that projects run smoothly according to the scope.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct rope access works, ensuring projects proceed as per plan.
* Routine inspections and pre-use checks of rope access equipment.
* Installation of ground support anchors, mesh and accessories.
* Scaling via rope access methods.
* Performing tasks such as grouting/concreting/shotcreting.
* Liaising with site supervisors regarding any issues.
* Maintaining all equipment including pneumatic drills and telehandlers.
Requirements:
* Rope Access Level 1, 2 or 3 IRATA certification is mandatory.
* Geotechnical experience is a must for this role.
* A valid C Class Drivers Licence (Manual) is required.
* First Aid & CPR certification is necessary.
* Work Safely at Heights certification is essential.
* Strong communication and organizational skills with emphasis on teamwork are expected.
* A positive attitude towards safety, training and environment is crucial.
* The candidate must pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment.
* National Police Clearance is a requirement.
* Elevated Work Platform Certification (desirable).
* Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence (desirable).
* Rigging Licence (desirable).
